Troika Gallery in downtown Easton, MD hosts its popular annual Group Spring Show through May 28th. Don’t miss this opportunity to see brand new original works by all 34 of the gallery’s artists. First Friday Gallery Walk reception will be held May 3 from 5-8:30pm.

Painting

Annmarie Garden will present a Watercolor Class, a two class series taught by Nancy Thompson on May 15, 2013, 10:00 am - 3:30pm. Great for any level (no experience necessary), paint a picture-perfect scene and learn all the tricks to painting with watercolor. Cost is $135 for non-members; $125 for members. Ceramics

Annmarie Garden will present an inventive 5 class series with 5 artists and 5 approaches to clay, over 5 weeks called, The Five: an Exploration of Clay Artists & Styles, beginning Thursday, May 9, 2013, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (additional days are May 16, May 23, May 30, and June 6, 6-9pm). Meet 5 of Annmarie Garden’s favorite regional clay artists (Sarah Houde, Parran Collery, Alice Yutzy, Amanda Willis, and Ray Bogle), crack open a bottle of wine as you explore their work, and experiment with some of their favorite techniques and methods. Learn tips, tricks, and innovations from their personal experiences and share your own in these informal, but informational sessions. Annmarie Garden will present Pottery in a Hurry, a two class series taught by Ray Bogle on Saturday and Sunday, June 15 & 16, 10:00 – 4:00 pm. This fast paced workshop is designed to introduce people to all aspects of making pottery. Attendees will learn to use the potter’s wheel and make 4-6 pieces and then return the next day to glaze and raku fire the pieces. No experience is necessary, must be 16 years old or over. Stained Glass

Annmarie Garden will present Introduction to Glass Bead-Making, May Session on May 18, 2013,
1:00pm - 7:00pm. Explore the art of making glass beads using a Hot Head torch and Moretti glass rods. Students learn glass rods on mandrel bead techniques as well as studio safety. Each student will make several beads of various shapes and surface decorations including stringer use and application. Materials included. Cost is $135 for non-members; $120 for members. Teen Workshops

Annmarie Garden presents Teen Workshops in Textiles (June 17-19; 9:30-11:30), Pottery (July 8-10; 9:30-11:30; $75 members/$80), Drawing and Watercolor (July 22-24; 9:30-11:30; $70 members/$75), Glass Beading (July 29-31; 1:00-3:00; $75 members/$80), Stained Glass (July 29-31; 9:30-11:30; $70 members/$75), and Airbrush & Graffiti (August 13-15; 2:00 – 4:00 pm; $70 members/$75) – register today by calling 410-326-4640! Mother’s Day class:
Annmarie Garden will present two (2) separate sessions of Play In Clay:  Mother’s Day Tea Party, on Saturday, May 11, at 9:30am – 1:00pm OR 1:30pm – 5:00pm, instructed by Sarah Houde. Celebrate Mother's Day with mom to create an entire tea service complete with tea pot, creamer, sugar bowl, cups and saucers. A great gift for the maternal figure in your life! During the month of March, Troika Gallery in downtown Easton presents “Best of the Eastern Shore,” a very special show featuring extraordinary depictions of the Eastern Shore by 14 artists specially selected for this show. They are Jorge Alberto, Kenn Backhaus, Roger Dale Brown, Laura Era, Kevin Fitzgerald, David Buckley Good, Lynne Lockhart, Kirk McBride, Raoul Middleman, William P. Storck, John W. Taylor, Carol Lee Thompson, Paula Waterman, and Jennifer Heyd Wharton.

“The Eastern Shore of Chesapeake Bay is one of the most beautiful and unique places in the world,” says gallery owner Jennifer Heyd Wharton. “This show features not only breathtaking landscapes, waterscapes, and marsh scenes, but still lifes of distinctive Eastern Shore objects, such as oysters, crabs, rockfish, and decoys. This is truly a special exhibit of the very best fine art from the Land of Pleasant Living.”

An opening reception will be held during First Friday Gallery Walk, March 1 from 5-8:30pm.
