Maryland Federation of Art to host annual Collector's Choice

Frances Borchardt, “Boat Hull #3”Art enthusiasts can spend a Sunday evening enjoying fine food and wine donated by Annapolis area businesses–and take home an original piece of artwork, all in support of Annapolis' oldest visual arts organization, the Maryland Federation of Art.

MFA artists donate original works of art (valued at $185 or more) and ticket purchasers are wined and dined while noting their favorite pieces.

Participants recieve a randomly drawn number, which allows them to choose an artwork when their number is called. People can add to their collections, mingle with the artists, and chat with old friends while supporting a great cause. This yearly tradition brings art lovers together with artists in support of the MFA's mission to raise art awareness and promote emerging artists. Collector's Choice has been voted "Best Nonprofit Event in Annapolis," and because tickets are limited to the number of artworks donated, it is sure to be a sell out.

Annapolis Subaru is again sponsoring this event and providing its showroom as an art gallery for the evening. Alex Cortwirght of WRNR will again serve as the evenings Master of Ceremony.

Featuring hor'dourves from these fine establishments: Harry Brown's, The Palate Pleasers, Piccola Roma, Portico & State House Inn, The Wild Orchid Café, and more.
